2013 Honda CBR250r
Acceleration 0-60: about 7 seconds
Top Speed: 83mph (on flat ground)
I have had my Honda CBR250r for a while now. It is a great bike and it is definitely good for beginners. I would’ve most likely laid a more powerful bike down at least once. One thing that I have found though is that, although it is a really great bike and it is great for back roads, it is not enough. There isn’t the acceleration you need to pass anyone on the highway, there isn’t the weight that keeps you from being blown around when near a larger truck or semi, and there isn’t enough power to keep you moving with traffic on interstates. If you are looking to do backroad riding and don’t want to get above 65 mph comfortably than I fully recommend this bike. If you are a beginner I recommend it as well. However, if you are looking to go on highways or go faster (I do not recommend, but it isn’t my choice to make) than I recommend looking for a larger bike.
My next bike, and my recommended size, would be a 500-900cc bike. Personally I am looking at the Yamaha R6 or R1, the Honda CBR600rr, or the Kawasaki ZX-6R. From what I have found is that these have good acceleration (typically 0-60 in about 3 second) and top speeds of 130-170 mph.
